West Ham interested in Zlatan Ibrahimovic

In one of the most bizarre stories of recent weeks (maybe even years), West Ham are lining up a move for PSG superstar Ibrahimovic, according to reports in The Daily Mail.

The Swedish international is out of contract in the summer and a move to the Premier League is something that has appealed to the forward for sometime.

England isn't the only possible destination for the talismanic striker, with Italy, China, UAE and the USA all showing varying degrees of interest.

Ibrahimovic looks likely to be leaving Paris in the summer and West Ham have shown an interest ahead of their big-money move to the Olympic Stadium next season.

The Hammers board want a big name star to front up the move and the Swede ticks all the boxes.

According to the Daily Mail, Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi remains their number one target in the summer but they face stiff competition from Europe's top sides whilst the French club are also seeking around £30m for the Belgium international.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently on around £12m a year at PSG and has been in discussions over a new contract.

West Ham would struggle to come close to what will be offered by competitors but have made initial soundings to his advisors.
