Kwadwo Asamoah,Jeffrey Schlupp,Christian Atsu and Afriyie Acquah all return from injury
Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has resumed full training after weeks on the sidelines, the club have confirmed.
The Ghanaian was among three injury returnees to the Old Lady’s first team training on Wednesday – following Tuesday’s 2-2 home draw with Bayern Munich in the Uefa Champions League – alongside defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Alex Sandro.
The 27-year-old suffered a thigh injury in a 3-0 defeat of Inter Milan in a Coppa Italia fixture on January 27, and earlier medical checks had confirmed the playmaker was expected to stay out of action for two to three weeks.
However, the former Udinese man had to wait until Wednesday to complete his comeback due to a series of relapses.
Other Black Stars players, Christian Atsu, Afriyie Acquah and Jeffrey Schlupp, have also resumed first-team training with Malaga, Torino and Leicester City respectively after some time in the treatment room.
However, Atletico Madrid youngster Thomas Teye Partey is yet to resume full training but has stepped up his return with some gym work.
The sad news for Ghana team is that captain Asamoah Gyan limped out of Shanghai SIPG’s Asian Champions League clash with Australian outfit Melbourne Victory on Wednesday.
Ghana will play Mozambique in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header next month.
